David Ballif
David Ballif is the Founder and CEO of Cascadia Foreign Policy. He is a former career Foreign Service Officer with the United States Agency for International Development. David served as a U.S. Diplomat in El Salvador where he oversaw elections and press freedoms support, civil-military relations, and migration programming in six countries across Central America. He previously served as a strategy consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton at the Pentagon, a Global Training Coordinator at the Defense Security Cooperation Agency, and as an English teacher in Colombia and Libya. He also worked for several years at the family-run Grocery Outlet in Mount Vernon, Washington.
He holds an MA in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, a BA from Prairie College, and an Associate of Arts from Skagit Valley College.
He resides in Port Townsend, Washington with his wife, Erika Guevara Ballif, where he also serves as Executive Director for the Jefferson County Economic Development Council, EDC Team Jefferson.
